Our Property:

We are built on a granite slab with a decline at about the middle of our property. Our terrain is dirt with gravel and stones. The entire upper property and the restroom are wheelchair accessible. Often times if guests have a need, I can transport them in our ranch golf cart. We are dedicated to make this experience accessible to EVERY BODY.  Please reach out with any further questions.

• Is this experience good for kids?

  • Yes, kids and adults of all ages will love the Happy Heart Haven.

• Can we pet the animals?

  • Yes, most of our animals love to be cuddled. 

• Can we bring a picnic lunch?

  • Yes, for a small fee you can stay for an additional 30 minutes after your tour and use our picnic area. Please book this under the Visit us tab. 

• Can we feed the animals?

  • Yes, snacks and treats for the animals will be provided. Please do not bring outside food on the tour.

• How do we get to the Happy Heart Haven?

  • The Happy Heart Haven is located just 40 miles north east of San Diego at 30398 Via Valencia in Valley Center, CA. 

• Where do we park?

  • Parking is available on the Happy Heart Haven property. Look for A BIG RED WAGON upon arrival - that's our driveway. Park anywhere but try to leave space for others.

• Can I buy Happy Heart Haven merchandise?

  • Yes! Our store is open 24/7. All proceeds go towards the care of the animals.

• Can I come early and walk around?

  • Our tours are by appointment only. Our gates will open 10 minutes before your tour. We are not able to allow exploration before or after your tour. ​
