ABOUT US
The Happy Heart Haven went from a personal dream to a reality, built by Cristi Walker as a place of healing and connection.
Cristi was born with a congenital heart defect called Pulmonary Atresia. After enduring four open-heart surgeries and most recently a Pulmonary Valve Replacement, Cristi received a life-saving bovine (cow) valve. That same year, she visited a local dairy to meet a cow in person, feeling an immediate and profound connection. In that moment, Cristi knew she had to bring cows into her daily life so she could share that unique sense of peace and joy with others.
In 2019, Cristi left suburbia behind to establish The Happy Heart Haven. Her mission is twofold: to provide a sanctuary where rescued animals can live their best lives and to create a space that warms and heals human hearts.
We are so excited to have you join us on this adventure, and we hope that after you leave the Haven, you will keep this experience in your heart forever.

"This past weekend we got to visit the @thehappyhearthaven and it was such an amazing experience. We got to meet, feed and pet sheep, pigs, a cow and mini horses! It was the cutest little farm ran by some of the sweetest people ever (the owner is also a CHD warrior and when her and my daughter showed each other their battle scars, it was just such an amazing moment for me 😭😍). We left in such great moods and such happy hearts 💕
